Hi Dave,

3. Restart DWM with *net stop uxsms* followed by *net start uxsms* at
command prompt.
It just means to open a command prompt window and type the commands in
bold to Stop and Start the *Desktop Window Manager Session Manager*
(DWM) service. You can instead, logoff and logon, or restart the
computer for the same affect as this step 3.

Right, any thoughts on if this tweak is worth trying i was hopeing it
would make my Aero a bit more transparent ?

David,

If all you want to do is to adjust the transparency, you can just
change the "Color Intensity" levels in step 3 of this tutorial to how
you like it. For what you want, just slide it a bit more to the left.
